Ministerial visionary and businessman, Bishop Kevin L. Long began his journey of faith at the young age of 12 in Charlotte North Carolina. In the years to come, Bishop Long would quickly realize that there was a ministerial call upon his life, and thereafter, spend the next 10 years serving under the tutelage of his father, the late Reverend Sampson Long at The Macedonia Baptist Church, located in Concord North Carolina.

Bishop Long attended Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City North Carolina, where he successfully completed curriculum requirements for a BA in Political Science. Bishop Long is currently in pursuit of his Doctorate in Theology at Trinity Theological Seminary, along with further studies with The American University in Rome.

Bishop Kevin Long resides in Charlotte North Carolina with his three children; Nicholos, Donovan and Chanel.

Surratt with special guest speaker the great Bishop Kevin L. Longsurrounding communities, where he unwaveringly serves till this day. As pastor of Temple Church International Bishop Long has implemented many programs that benefit the community at large. One of which is Temple BC CDC, a community development corporation that was created to assist those who have special needs.

In 2003, Bishop Kevin Long released his first book entitled “The Gideon Principle”. In this book Bishop Long explains how “one changed mind can bring deliverance to many”. It is a must read.

As one of Charlotte’s premiere community leaders, Bishop Long is a member of the Mayor’s Mentoring Program, where he assists in mentoring at risk youth, and has been appointed to work on the Youth and Gang Drug task force for the Charlotte community.

Because of Bishop Long’s passion for people, he has been afforded the opportunity to travel all across this world, spreading what he believes to be the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Bishop Long has traveled to South Africa to service those who are living with HIV/AIDS, as well as Nigeria where he has aided in feeding, clothing and educating those who are less fortunate. Bishop Long has also partnered with other pastors in India, in support of orphanages there. His most recent trip included a trip to the Bahamas where he participated in missions work with churches in the neighboring communities. In June of 2011 Bishop Long will be heading up his second missions trip to Montego Bay Jamaica.

Through Bishop Long’s travels and experience in ministry he has been sought after as a spiritual mentor by many pastors, which has resulted in the formation of the Eighth Day Ministry Fellowship for Pastors and Para Church Ministries. The Fellowship consists of pastors who have submitted themselves to Bishop Long’s counsel and wisdom, as well as support in ministry. Eighth Day holds two BISHOP KEVIN L. LONG biography

In 2009 Bishop Long and one of his business partners and lifelong friends, Eric Montgomery, Esq. formed an entity called Clean City Group LLC, a company that prides itself on doing business in the entertainment industry with integrity. As CEO, Bishop Long manages the careers of various artists.

Also in 2009 Bishop Long co-created & executive produced a pilot for an upcoming reality show called “When Children Dream”. This project is focused on spotlighting children who are exceptionally gifted but have disabilities.
